Thee Oh Sees

Thee Oh Sees

Thee Oh Sees are a band from San Francisco, California, USA. The group began as an outlet for John Dwyer (of Coachwhips, Pink and Brown, Yikes, The Hospitals) to release his instrumental, experimental home recordings. Over the course of several album releases and genre transitions, Thee Oh Sees evolved into a full band with the current lineup featuring John Dwyer (vocals, guitar), Brigid Dawson (vocals, keyboard), Petey Dammit! (bass, guitar), Mike Shoun (drums), and Lars Finberg (drums, guitar). The band is noted for its prolific discography, energetic live shows, and whimsical visual aesthetic. In late 2013, it was announced that the band was entering a hiatus, though sporadic live performances and an album release have happened since. In May 2014, the band began to tour as a trio, with Nick Murray (drums) and Timothy Hellman (bass) playing in place of Dawson, Dammit, and Shoun.

The band has changed its lineup and name several times, previously being known as Orinoka Crash Suite, OCS, Orange County Sound, and The Ohsees.
