Redemption

Redemption

Redemption is one of the leading progressive metal bands in the world today; led by guitarist/keyboardist/songwriter Nick van Dyk, Redemption is composed of former legendary progressive metal vocalist Ray Alder of Fates Warning, as well as guitarist Bernie Versailles (Agent Steel), the phenomenal rhythm section of Chris Quirarte (drums) and Sean Andrews (bass) and the keyboard talents of Greg Hosharian. Early incarnations of the group featured members of Symphony X and Steel Prophet.

The band accompanied the progressive metal band Dream Theater on their U.S. Systematic Chaos Tour, supporting their 2007 release The Origins of Ruin. In 2009, a live DVD/CD, entitled 'Frozen in the Moment', was released. The band's fourth full-length album, ‘Snowfall on Judgment Day’, was released in late September 2009, followed by their most recent album ‘This Mortal Coil’ in September 2011, released by Century Media Records, to high critical acclaim.

Redemption’s combination of heaviness not usually found in progressive metal, irresistible melodies and emotional urgency has created a unique and resonant voice for this band that sets them apart from the many clones in the genre, and which has gained them the attention of fans, critics and musicians.
